March 23–24, 2026 | Santa Fe Community Convention Center | Santa Fe, New Mexico
The AI for Earth Sciences Workshop 2026 brings together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the way we understand and manage the Earth’s subsurface. Hosted by EnviTrace in collaboration with partners across academia, government, and industry, this two-day event will highlight emerging tools, real-world applications, and collaborative opportunities at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and geoscience.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping Earth science applications for renewable energy exploration and environmental stewardship. These technologies allow scientists and engineers to analyze complex subsurface systems faster and more accurately than ever. The resulting insights help identify and responsibly manage critical mineral resources, optimize renewable energy systems, monitor environmental impacts, and support informed decision-making to protect communities and ecosystems.
Earth science plays a central role in addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including transitioning to low-carbon energy systems, safeguarding water resources, securing critical minerals, and understanding climate change. This workshop will bring together geoscientists, engineers, data scientists, and decision-makers to examine how AI can deepen our understanding of subsurface processes and accelerate the development of practical, field-ready solutions for industry and society.
Through expert talks, discussions, and networking opportunities, participants will gain insight into the latest advances in AI-enabled Earth science, while fostering collaborations that drive innovation across sectors.
